Confirmation Service.
Confirmation Service held on 26 April 2015
Our 2015 confirmation service was conducted by Bishop Trevor Stephens on 26 April 2015. The church was packed and it was wonderful to see so many visitors that attended and supported their friends and family. Three young memebers, Keegan Arnold, Kirsty Muller and Ayden Opperman were confirmed.
Fathers Day.
21 June 2015
All fathers present were handed a biltong parcel specially prepared by George congregation Sunday school children. Members enjoyed a boerie roll & beverages as part of our fellowship.
Our youth accompanied to serve the eldest father in our congregation, brother Ernst Maier. This was a heart-warming visit which brought him to tears of great joy.
We had much fun and it was a beautiful day. Thanks to all who assisted and helped to make this day special.

July 2015
Bishop T Stephens visit George congregation on 08 July 2015 where District Evangelist Ronnie Loggenberg has his last serving before his retirement on 12 July 2015 by District Apostle N.E. Barnes in George Civic Centre.
Seniors Fellowship.

Mid Year Sunday School Service.
19 July 2015
On Sunday 19 July a special sunday school service was held with the topic - "are we there yet". A slide presentation formed part of the service. It was a wonderful hour and the whole congregation made special effort to make this service special. After service the sunday school children where called to the front and was thanked for their preparation and involvement.
Our children are already looking forward to the next sunday school service.
Karaoke & Potjie Evening.
31 July 2015 - Fundraiser
Nac George Special Events Team has arranged a Karaoke & Potjie evening on Friday 31 July 2015 at Blue Gums hall George. 130 tickets were sold.
+/- 10 pots where prepared by our potjie chefs with a variety of flavours and themes.
Members joined the karaoke concert to create a good vibe after which we all enjoyed potjiekos, rice and freshly baked bread.
We had a feast and everybody enjoyed the evening with much joy, music and some group dancing. Many performed various songs and oldies and contributed to a very succesful evening.
Thank you to all who assisted to make this evening very succesful. The fund raising project was a huge success thanks to everyones involvement and support.

On Sunday morning 02 August 2015 in the divine service held by Bishop Trevor Stephens in George congregation, two Priests where retired.
Priest Chris Classen
Served for 9 years as a minister.
Priest Henk Nel
Served for 35 years as a minister.
On behalf of George congregation we've been very blest having them in our midst and we would like to thank them for all their efforts, support and prayers over the years. May God always bless you and your families on your pathway.
Morning Midweek Divine Service.
Held by Apostle Swartbooi and accompanied by Bishop Stephens.
On Wednesday morning 26 August 2015 at 11:00 a morning midweek divine service was held by our Apostle in our congregation. The text he used was from Psalm 40 : 3 and the Apostle explained that the ‘new song’ in our mouths needs to be practised continuously and on a daily basis. He elaborated the importance of the various verses of this new hymn, to be practised as follows:
# 1st verse – Praising of God
# 2nd verse – Joy in the Lord
# 3rd verse – Committed to God
# 4th verse - Forgiveness
The congregation comprised mainly of the senior members from the George Bishop area and it was a wonderful experience. After service everyone enjoyed fellowship together, with some soup and sandwiches.

Friendship Walk.

Saturday morning 9:00 we gathered at Woodville Big Tree Trail for our fellowship walk. It was a special spring day after much rain the past couple of days and everyone enjoyed the sunny weather and open skies.
The trail is well suited for all persons capable of doing a 2km walk. The obstacles are moderate to easy although we had to be careful due to the slippery soil from spot to spot. Everyone enjoyed the outing and surely a must see.

Friendship Service 2015.
Held in Laerskool George-Suid School Hall.
Our annual friendship service was held on 6 September 2015 in the school hall opposite our church. We had quite a number of visitors although we expected more. It was a wonderful service and we concluded the service with fellowship, a cup of tea, sandwiches, muffens and special treats.
We would like to thank everyone who assisted in all efforts, big or small.
Thank you to our quests for accepting our invitation. You are always welcome to visit us again. With love George Congregation.

Thank you for accepting our invitation. Trusting that you will enjoy this special divine service with us and that you will experience a blessed encounter with God, our heavenly Father, and, His great love for you. Praying that you will embrace His Word and teaching through the Holy Spirit and His Grace which He so freely offers in the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, to all mankind who confess their sins to Him, and, that you truly feel welcome to enjoy the blessedly comforting sacrament in the celebration of Holy Communion. You are invited to join in our congregational fellowship after the divine service so that you can feel our hearts and our love for you as our true neighbor in Christ.
Seniors Picnic.
Witfontein Nature Reserve.
On the 26th September '15 our seniors shared a wonderful picnic at the Witfontein Nature Reserve. We were blessed with beautiful weather although
rain was predicted. Here we shared loads of laughter and food. Some of the seniors took the opportunity in exploring the rich diversity of the walking trail. Sis. Helen Lakey was also welcomed into the Seniors Group.
Some thoughts on future activities was also shared. The day was well ended with a cup of coffee and some birthday cake for the upcoming birthday of Retired Bishop Atkins. We ended the picnic with much enthusiasm in continuing a healthy and joyful spirit within our seniors group.
Thanksgiving Service 2015.
Held at George Congregation.
Our annual thanksgiving service was held on 4 October 2015. It was a wonderful service and we concluded the day with a picnic at the Witfontein Nature Reserve.
Thanksgiving Preparations & Fellowship.
We started at 11:00 with cleaning and preparing the church and grounds. There was a lovely vibe and everyone contributed in some form. We played one of our latest music DVD's on the big screen while all the decorating etc where going. By lunch time we enjoyed hot dog rolls and cool drinks that were prepared. After lunch the sunday school children practiced their recorders and a special hymn for the divine service.
